    Missouri 2019 Legislative Wrap-Up

The Missouri General Assembly wrapped up their 2019 legislative session in Jefferson City on Friday, May 17.  Approximately 1,990 bills and resolutions were introduced for the legislative session, but only 102 bills were truly agreed and finally passed (5%). Governor Mike Parson has until July 14 to sign, veto or let bills become law without his signature.

During the legislative session, HCUA reviewed all bills and resolutions filed and specifically monitored 92 bills on behalf of Missouri credit unions. While several issues didn’t make it over the finish line due to controversial issues taking up considerable time at the end of session, the 2019 legislative session was successful for credit unions. Read more to see some of the key bills.
