    Ozarks Credit Unions team up for their 22nd Annual Credit Unions for Community Golf Tournament!

    Each year, eight credit unions in southwest Missouri host a golf tournament to raise funds for charities serving their community.  The last two years, the tournament has raised more than $70,000 to benefit local charities addressing domestic violence and children in need. HCUCF awarded a Community Development Grant to support this event and help the credit unions have an even greater impact on their community.

    Payday Lending Rule Implementation Date to be Delayed

    A judge in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas ordered a stay of the implementation date of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection's Payday Lending Rule. The rule was scheduled to go into effect in August 2019 but the BCFP said it intends to issue a proposed rule in January that will delay the effective date.

    Missouri Governor Mike Parson has tapped Missouri State Treasurer Eric Schmitt (R) to serve as Missouri’s 43rd Attorney General. Schmitt will replace current Attorney General Josh Hawley (R), who will resign his position to be sworn in the United States Senate on January 3, 2019.
