    New Missouri Laws Take Effect August 28

    Bills passed by the Missouri General Assembly and signed by Missouri Governor Mike Parson take effect on August 28, unless otherwise specified. One big impact for credit unions is the new mandatory participation in the Financial Institution Data Match Program administered by the Missouri Division of Child Support Enforcement. This change was passed as part of HB 397.     Governor Parson Calls Missouri Lawmakers into Special Session

    Lawmakers will head to Jefferson City two days earlier than expected, as Missouri Governor Mike Parson has called for a special session to begin on September 9.  The annual veto session takes place on September 11. The special session will focus on a recent ruling by the Missouri Supreme Court in Kehlenbrink v. Director of Revenue regarding a vehicle sales issue.
