    Credit unions in Jefferson City are assessing damage and digging out from a tornado that ripped through the heart of the city on Wednesday night. Most credit union are reporting no or minimal damage. In true credit union spirit, Region Region is offering support to other organizations in the community.

    The verdict is in... students love the Bite of Reality app! Ozark Federal Credit Union (Poplar Bluff, MO) used the app during recent reality fairs for Doniphan High School and Three Rivers College. Combined, they reached nearly 300 students. Community leaders and credit union employees volunteered at the events.

    That’s a Wrap!  Missouri Lawmakers Head Home

    The 2019 regular session of the Missouri General Assembly wrapped up at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 17, in Jefferson City. Many of Missouri Governor Mike Parson’s (R) legislative priorities still remain on the “to-do” list. The Missouri Senate found itself log-jammed on and off this session, as members tried to add on or fight for amendments. The Missouri House did push some omnibus bills to the governor, including issues affecting credit unions this session.  Throughout the session, HCUA Missouri Political Affairs Director, Ian Dunlap, was on hand to monitor and lobby for legislation affecting credit unions.
