    PACE Bill Heard in the Missouri Senate

    Members heard Senate Bill 173, dealing with PACE loans and sponsored by Senator Sandy Crawford (R-28), in the Missouri Senate Local Government Committee this past week. PACE loans are issued by a PACE provider for energy efficiency projects (ex. solar panels) and are attached to a consumer’s property taxes.

    More than a dozen credit unions have made giving to the Credit Union Political Action Committee (CUPAC) a priority in the first few months of 2019. We have a CUPAC in Kansas and Missouri that credit union-friendly lawmakers who support credit unions and our issues of concern with campaign funds. All contributions to CUPAC - both individual and corporate - support credit union political action.

    Bill Filing Ends in Missouri General Assembly

    March 1 marked the final day to file bills in the Missouri General Assembly. Approximately 1,950 bills and resolutions are now filed for consideration in the Missouri House and Senate. Since filing began in December, HCUA has reviewed hundreds of bills to see what impact they may have on Missouri credit unions.
