MO Governor Signs Three Bills With Impact to Credit Unions

Three bills with impact to credit unions are now signed into law by Missouri Governor Jay Nixon (D). The bills - SB 833, SB 932 and SB 947 - cover several legislative topics and will take effect on August 28. The Heartland Credit Union Association (HCUA) championed SB 833 and SB 932, and supported SB 947.

Strong Year for Positive Credit Union Legislation in Missouri

Nearly 10 bills with positive impact to credit unions are now on their way to Governor Jay Nixon's (D) desk after receiving final approval by the Missouri General Assembly. Missouri lawmakers had until 6 p.m. on May 13 to advance legislation before the session officially closed. Governor Nixon has until July 14 to either sign, veto or allow a bill to become law.
