Central Chapter Hosts Inaugural Legislative Reception
The Central Chapter of Credit Unions hosted 2012 election candidates Michael Wood (R) and Phyllis Domann (D) during its inaugural Legislative Reception on Wednesday, October 10 at Bones Restaurant. This was a unique opportunity for credit union and MCUA staff to meet with the candidates in a relaxed environment and discuss topics important to the credit union movement.
Central Missouri credit unions and MCUA were well represented at the reception with approximately 30 staff members in attendance. “This was a great turnout for our Central Chapter," says Peggy Nalls, Chief Advocacy Officer at MCUA. “It was our first big event, and I received a lot of positive feedback from the credit unions and the candidates. I’m excited for the future.”
Candidate Wood is running unopposed in District 58 and resides in Versailles, Missouri. Candidate Domann is running against Rep. Stanley Cox (R) in District 52. Phyllis resides in Sedalia, Missouri.
