First Community Partners with St. Louis Radio Station to Raise Funds for Local Organization

First Community (St. Louis, MO) teamed up with St. Louis’ hit morning radio show The Rizzuto Show on 105.7 The Point to raise funds for local organization, Greater St. Louis Honor Flight.

From June 22 to July 12 red, white, and blue stickers were sold at First Community’s 43 locations throughout Missouri and Illinois. With a combination of donations from sticker sales, First Community employee donations, and a corporate contribution, a grand total of $7,500 was raised for Greater St. Louis Honor Flight.

A donation that size is able to sponsor 10 veterans and their flight to Washington D.C. which is about half of the group they take. The Honor Flight experience comes at no cost to the veterans who attend and creates a wonderful memory for each veteran and their family.

Neighbors Credit Union Awards $1,500 Scholarships

Credit Union of America Raises $50,000 for Kansas Children

Credit Union of America (CUA) held their 13th annual golf tournament benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at Ascension Via Christi on June 13, 2019 at Crestview Country Club. The Tournament is a joint effort between CUA and The Wichita Open, and the first official event of the Wichita Open each year. This year’s tournament raised $50,000 that will directly benefit sick and injured children in Kansas. CUA and the Wichita Open have raised $547,070 for CMNH over the 13-year life of the tournament.

“This is a fabulous event all around. We have the most generous sponsors and golfers, and the Wichita Open’s staff work tirelessly to make the day great for golf and fellowship," said Nate Reisig, co-director of the CUA Tournament. "A highlight of the day is getting to meet the CMNH families and learn how our donations really do help them directly. We also thank Heartland Credit Union Charitable Foundation this year for a $2,000 grant.”
