Missouri Financial Institutions Committee - New Member Spotlight

Rep. Michael O’Donnell  Rep. Dottie

The Missouri House Financial Institutions Committee hears bills that most often affect credit unions and determines which bills will go on for floor debate.  This session, the committee has seven new state representatives with the responsibility of not only learning the issues but then determining how they will vote. This includes two new state representatives with experience in the financial industry.

Rep. Michael O’ Donnell (R-District 95) represents the southern-most part of St. Louis County. O’ Donnell is a fixed income securities trader for an investment firm headquartered in St. Louis with three decades of experience, focused predominantly in the area of municipal securities. If being a new state representative and securities trader doesn’t keep him busy enough, O’ Donnell is also a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve.  He serves as an intelligence officer and has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Rep. Dottie Bailey (R-District 110) serves parts of St. Louis and Franklin counties. Bailey also comes to the House from the financial industry where she has worked as an accounts manager, and loan buyer. She has also served on the St. Louis Mortgage Bankers Board of Governor’s since 2017.
