Hearings Underway for CU Modernization Bill

House Bill 2101, the credit union modernization bill, took center stage at hearings on Monday, February 11. We introduced the bill in the Kansas House of Representatives a few weeks ago

Stephanie Mullholland gave lead testimony before the House Financial Institutions & Pensions Committee, detailing the changes that HB 2101 would make to the state’s credit union act.

“These changes will streamline the law for Kansas-chartered credit unions, protect local control for the members, and better enable credit unions to meet the needs of their members,” said Stephanie during the hearing.

The Kansas Cooperative Council (KCC) also testified in support of the bill.
