CUleaders will meet six times during the year to learn everything from credit union philosophy, advocacy and communication skills to regulator insights, financial analysis and strategic planning. Each session includes two intensive days of learning from experts, bonding with each other, and self-reflection.

As many credit union executives approach retirement age, credit unions know they need key staff to step up and fill top-level roles. Our CUlead program prepares these employees. In addition, graduates have made valuable connections with their peers.

“The primary purpose of our CUlead program is to build leaders, but we keep hearing about the connections and relationships formed between the class members," said Clint Armistead, director of training & events and CUlead coordinator. “Even years later, graduates of the program keep in touch."
