Day at the Capitol Events - Make a Difference in One Day!

Can you really make a difference in one day? YES! When you attend one of our Day at the Capitol (DATC) events in February, you'll learn about the legislative issues with potential impact to credit unions and then you'll have the chance to talk about them with your legislators. All in one day!

Here's what you can expect:

  • Networking with your fellow credit union employees and volunteers
  • Access to your state's top leaders
  • The opportunity to advocate for your credit union and its members
  • Build relationships with new lawmakers and help lay groundwork for credit union-focused legislation
  • Plus more!

The Kansas DATC will be held on February 5; the Missouri DATC* will be held on February 13. Registration is now OPEN! Please note that home addresses for each participant are required. Attendees should check their confirmation email for a link to submit this information.

A one-day event is convenient, affordable ($25 per person) and allows multiple credit union employees to attend. It's also a great time to network with your peers.

DATC first-timers: Check out these helpful tips for meeting with lawmakers!

*With the passage of Amendment 1, also known as CLEAN Missouri, Missouri’s Credit Union Day at the Capitol on February 13 will look different from year’s past. Amendment 1 limits spending on lawmakers to $5 per person per event. In order to stay within the confines of the new law, you will see these changes during the event this year:

  1. Instead of meeting with legislators during the evening dinner, you will get to meet one-on-one with your district legislators at the Capitol.  Be sure to register with your home address so we can match attendees with their lawmakers.
  2. Worried about getting your questions answered? HCUA is excited to announce a legislative panel with a question and answer session. You will hear directly from lawmakers on issues that impact the credit union industry.
