CUNA Awards: Deadline June 30

Credit unions demonstrate community and member support everyday. Be recognized for your efforts! The CUNA awards are now open for your submissions. These awards remain state-specific, so please take note and choose your state for your entries.

Award Categories

Given to a credit union or chapter for its social responsibility projects within the community. 
The award is given for external activities.
Given to a credit union to formally recognize demonstration of its practical application of credit union philosophy in action for its members.
Recognizes credit unions and chapters for their financial education efforts for youth and adults. It considers all activities supporting personal finance education.

Featured activities must have taken place between May 2016 and May 2017.

Award submissions must be submitted by 11:59 p.m., June 30, 2017.

There is a $25 entry fee for each submission. Send your check to:

Submission Instructions
When you submit your first award, you will automatically establish an account. You may save your work and return to the submission site as often as needed. Submit awards on the CUNA awards page.

To align with how other credit union leagues and associations judge their own state's awards, credit union entries submitted to Heartland Credit Union Association will be judged by other state league representatives. 

  • You must receive at least 80% of the maximum points to be considered a first or second place winner.
  • Entries with the highest score above 80% of the maximum points receive first place recognition and move on to national judging. Only one entry per category or asset size will move on to the national judging.
  • The next highest score above 80% will receive second place recognition.
  • In the event of a tie, another judge may be asked to judge the entries.

Total points possible - 100
Entries must receive 80 points or higher to be considered a first or second place winner.

Louise Herring
Total points possible - 110
Entries must receive 88 points or higher to be considered a first or second place winner.

Total points possible -  120
Entries must receive 96 points or higher to be considered a first or second place winner.
