Sharing the Credit Union Message during GAC: On the Hill and at Home

Nearly 100 credit union advocates from Kansas and Missouri from 32 different credit unions will head to Washington, D.C. for the Credit Union National Association’s Governmental Affairs Conference, February 26-March 2. Attendees will visit with federal lawmakers on March 1-2, sharing key credit union concerns.

Can't make it to Capitol Hill? You can help support key credit union issues with our U.S. Senators and Representatives.

  1. Reach out via social media to your elected officials during GAC week, encouraging them to support credit unions and to meet with credit union visitors.
  2. Provide “real person” examples demonstrating the negative impact of regulatory burden at home in their districts to share with federal lawmakers. Share examples with Amy McLard, HCUA Executive Director of Advocacy.
  3. Take part in the Middle Class Campaign for Common-Sense Regulation and sign up to the Member Activation Program to reach out to members.
