CU Community Credit Union Delivers Goodies to Second Grade Class

Second graders at Boyd Elementary School received a special visit from Santa and CU Community Credit Union staffers on December 16.

For the twelfth year in a row, employees at CU Community Credit Union adopted the second grade classes, providing toys, warm clothing and other items to the children.

Take a peek at all the ways that CU Community gives back to their community.

Electro Savings Employees & Volunteers Make Holidays Brighter for Children, Families in St. Louis Area

Electro Savings Credit Union's employees and board volunteers made the holidays a little brighter for the children of the Annie Malone Center by bringing unwrapped toy donations to the credit union’s holiday celebration. The toy collection brought in more than 100 toys! Pictured at right are the staff and volunteers that made this possible.

Helping St. Louis families for more than a century, Annie Malone is a multi-service center that addresses social and education needs of children and families in crisis and at-risk throughout St. Louis.

In addition, Electro Savings Credit Union donated $3,800 to United Way’s 100 Neediest Cases, which provides household necessities, food, medication and a few treasured holiday gifts for the most disadvantaged individuals and families in the St. Louis area. All administrative and fundraising costs are absorbed by United Way and more than 70 area social service agencies so that every dollar raised for 100 Neediest Cases goes to help people.

Throughout the year, credit union employees voluntarily donated $10 per month for the privilege of wearing jeans to work on Fridays knowing that their donation will go towards the 100 Neediest Cases campaign at the end of the year.

Mazuma Credit Union's Staffers & Members Donate Money & Time to Local Causes

Mazuma Credit Union employs a ton of passionate people, and they were out in full force earlier this month at the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City's holiday party.

At the part, Mazuma's elves handed out personalized gifts for each little brother and little sister. Spokesperson Mazuma Mike was even spotted!

But wait, there's more! As a coin-less financial institution, Mazuma's members also had the opportunity to donate their change to select charities. Just this month, Mazuma has awarded $100 to SAFEHOME, a local organization that supports domestic violence victims, and a $100 to Culture House, a Kansas City organization dedicated to  help support art and culture within the community.

Kudos to Mazuma's efforts - follow them on Facebook to learn more!

White Eagle Credit Union Staffers in the Giving Spirit

White Eagle Credit Union's Augusta and El Dorado branches were filled with the holiday spirit this month! The credit union's staffers found ways to bring cheer to those in their communities.

Employees at the Augusta branch collected tons of gifts for a family they adopted through the Augusta Caring Center.

At the El Dorado branch, staffers held a food drive to benefit the constituents of the local Salvation Army.
