Andrea Robinson Named Executive Director of Heartland Credit Union Charitable Foundation

The Heartland Credit Union Charitable Foundation (HCUCF) has hired Andrea Robinson, MPA as its executive director. As the charitable arm of the Heartland Credit Union Association, the HCUCF supports member credit unions’ charitable and educational activities and provides training scholarships and financial literacy assistance to credit unions.

A self-proclaimed “do-gooder,” Andrea brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role including for-profit and nonprofit experience in fundraising, development, management, and marketing and communications.

“The Heartland Credit Union Charitable Foundation has a long history of strengthening credit unions and the communities they serve,” said Randy Yeck, Chairman of the HCUCF Board of Directors. “The credit union industry’s ‘people helping people’ philosophy aligns well with Andrea’s outlook and experience, positioning her as an ideal candidate to lead the Foundation’s philanthropic efforts.” 

Andrea has worked in a variety of industries including the arts, the environment, health, social services and youth development both in Kansas City and nationwide. She has worked for Smiles Change Lives, DataFile Technologies, Rose Brooks Center and Bridging The Gap. Most recently, she was the development director for ArtsKC. 

Previously a personal chef and caterer, Andrea is often found hosting dinner parties and neighborhood dark parties. She is prone to sporadic bursts of gardening, dance and travel. Andrea lives in the northland with her family and one very, very bad dog.
