2017 GAC: Reserve Your Hotel Room!

Powerful cause, positive effect -- you won't want to miss the Credit Union National Association's (CUNA) 2017 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C., February 26 – March 2, 2017.

For your convenience, the Heartland Credit Union Association (HCUA) has reserved a block of rooms. The HCUA room block is located in the Renaissance Washington D.C. Hotel, 999 9th Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001. The rate is $324 single/double for four nights: Sunday, February 26 – Wednesday, March 1, checking out on Thursday morning, March 2, 2017.

We increased our room block to accommodate our attendees. However, the number of rooms is still limited. If you have any questions regarding the room block, please contact Pat Behnen, 800.392.3074, ext.1332.

Process to reserve an HCUA GAC Block Room:

  • Confirm your housing requirements for the 2017 GAC by filling out the GAC Housing Commitment Form on the HCUA website. (an ID and password are required)
  • A credit union may use one form entry to request up to six rooms. NOTE: This is only a request form to provide HCUA an advance count of room needs. It does not complete your hotel reservation.
  • Please complete this form by December 14, 2016.* The form is required to book a room in the HCUA GAC block.
  • Upon receipt of your GAC Housing Commitment Form, HCUA will send you a link to access the CUNA Housing Bureau. When you receive this email, please use the link to complete your official housing registration.

*HCUA will continue to work with our credit union GAC attendees regarding hotels and make every effort to get additional rooms at the Renaissance once our room block is filled. However, it is anticipated the block will fill up quickly, so please do not delay. Once the block is filled, reservations may be made at a different hotel.

There will be region-specific activities during the GAC, including a legislative briefing, group dinner and Hill visits scheduled with the Kansas and Missouri Congressional delegations. Thank you for your consideration in attending the 2017 Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.
