Deadlines to Register to Vote in Missouri and Kansas

Time is running short if you are not yet registered to vote for the November 8 general election in Kansas and Missouri.  In addition to the presidential race, there are many offices and ballot initiatives up for a vote.

Missouri – Deadline October 12

Wednesday, October 12 is the deadline to register to vote in Missouri. Click here for more information on how to register and the forms needed. Absentee voting is currently underway in Missouri, but registered voters must cite a reason why they cannot vote on November 8.

Missouri has odd-numbered Missouri Senate district races and all Missouri House district races, as well as a race for U.S. Senate and all U.S. House districts. Statewide races include Missouri Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General. Click here for a list of Missouri candidates.    

Kansas – Deadline October 18

Tuesday, October 18 is the deadline to register to vote in Kansas. Click here for more information on how to register and the forms needed, or call 1-800-262-VOTE. Advance voting is available effective October 19. Registered voters should contact their county election office for more details on when and where in-person advance voting is available.
