Crash the GAC - Applications Wanted!

Crash the GAC submissions are now being accepted! It's a great opportunity for young credit union professionals to not only participate in Credit Union National Association's (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), but also meet with political leaders and veterans of the credit union system. The Cooperative Trust, CUNA and the Heartland Credit Union Association (HCUA) are joining forces to send one Kansas and one Missouri crasher to this year’s GAC.

With more Crashers than ever before, a deeper dive into the world of credit union advocacy, and support from HCUA to help arm you with ideas to stay involved back home - this year’s Crash the GAC is an event you don’t want to miss!

Crashers will get to:

  • Attend GAC with breakout and keynote sessions
  • Build relationships with other credit union young professionals
  • Have the opportunity to connect with thousands of other activists from within the credit union system
  • Attend mentor sessions with industry thought leaders
  • Connect with other leaders from their state by attending Congressional visits on Capitol Hill

Why should your boss let you go? Why should you want to be a GAC Crasher? Check out this great post from a past crasher.

To Apply...

All applicants should be under 35 years old, although there is some wiggle room on that. To apply, you must create a 60-second video that explains why you should be picked as a GAC Crasher. Submit your application and upload the video on the Cooperative Trust's website. Be sure to get your application in by 11:59 p.m. (central time), November 23, 2016.
