HCUA Councils Promote Networking, Sharing Among CU Professionals

One of the benefits of being a member of Heartland Credit Union Association (HCUA) is meeting and sharing ideas with others…and HCUA Councils are just the avenue to do that.

HCUA offers six councils that serve as the regional, primary source for uniting and energizing individuals and credit unions by sharing best practices, education and resources. Council membership is available to employees or volunteers of affiliated Kansas, Missouri or Nebraska credit unions or their CUSOs.

Why Join?

Networking, sharing and learning from others in your same position at other credit unions is easy through a listserve (one for each council), conference calls and education opportunities. Conference calls are free and for Council members only.

Each Council web page has resources specific to your interests.

Special events and training opportunities are great way to continue learning and meeting others. Council members receive a 10 percent discount off some training opportunities. Watch for more Council events being planned for 2017.

Available Councils

  • CUnext Young Professionals: open to all young professionals under 40 years old.
  • Compliance Council: for those responsible for compliance issues at your credit union.
  • HR/Training: for those responsible for credit union staffing, policy, training and employment related issues.
