This is the second step of a two-step application process. If the applicant has not already, please direct them to submit an application form.

CUlead Class of 2020 timeline

  • August 1, 2019: Applications open
  • October 31, 2019: Application deadline
  • December 2, 2019: Acceptance letters sent 
  • January 2020: 2020 CUlead class public announcement
  • January 21-22, 2020: First CUlead session

CUlead program requirements:

PAYMENT
Full payment is due 21 business days before the first class. Failure to provide complete payment 21 days before the first class may result in forfeiture of your spot in the program.

ATTENDANCE
This program depends on the unity of the participants and each class builds from the knowledge gained in previous classes. On-time arrival and attendance of the entire sessions is required. In the event of an emergency, contact the CUlead coordinator as soon as possible. If a session is missed, you must meet with the CUlead coordinator in the Overland Park, KS before the next session to review material.

ASSIGNMENTS
Each CUlead participant must:  

Complete all pre-session assignments.
Complete group and individual assignments and projects on time. 
Actively participate in all sessions, including (but not limited to) being a group leader and/or making presentations to the group.
Select a mentor who you will regularly contact regarding your roles and responsibilities during the program.  

SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES

  • Voluntary removal from the program: you or your credit union forfeits a refund. (Class tuition is allocated before the first session for materials, speakers, transportation, etc.)
  • You leave your current employer during the term of the program: you or your credit union forfeits a refund. (Class tuition is allocated before the first session for materials, speakers, transportation, etc.)
  • If you received a scholarship from the Heartland Credit Union Charitable Foundation and leave the program for any reason: Upon notifying us you will be leaving the program, your scholarship must be paid back to the Foundation within 21 business days of your notice.
