Tell Us About Your Youth Savings Month

April has been full of great Youth Savings Month stories—we know because several credit unions have already sent us theirs! But we want to hear about every event or promotion hosted by Kansas and Missouri credit unions, so we ask that you send us all your Youth Savings Month stories.

Youth Savings Month (or National Credit Union Youth Month) was established to emphasize the importance of financial education for kids. It’s a time where credit unions can celebrate their youngest members and encourage others to start saving with them.

Here are just a few ways credit unions celebrate their members:

  • Host a savings challenge
  • Throw parties for their young members
  • Provide events that educate and entertain
  • Share financial tips via social media, newsletters, etc.

We will run a story (or two) in May that recaps the amazing things you have done during Youth Savings Month. It’s easy to share your story—just send us an email outlining your efforts, some pictures, and include a quick quote.
