C&E Speaker Will Inspire Attendees to Follow Dreams, Plan for Success

Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) Convention & Expo will end on a high note with Jim “The Rookie” Morris on October 8 at the InterContinental Hotel on the Plaza in Kansas City.

As a motivational speaker, Morris regularly shares his inspirational story that encourages people to follow their dreams and plan for success. You may already be familiar with Morris’ life story—Disney based its movie “The Rookie” on him.

At age 35, Morris was a schoolteacher who wanted to motivate the high school baseball team to try harder. He bet them if they won a district championship, he would try out for the big leagues. After the team won, Morris made good on his word and attended a tryout. He threw 12 consecutive pitches at 98 mph. Three months later he achieved his dream and pitched in his first big league game.

During his session, Morris will speak candidly about his early life failures and share how he uses them to provide a roadmap for success in business, family, and community. He takes his stories and weaves them into a plan for changing all aspects of your life for the better. Long after the event, his words will continue to inspire you.

Check out what past audience members have to say about him.

“I stood on the side of the room and watched the audience. Everyone was engaged and listening to every word he said.”

“Truly, you could have heard a pin drop in the room while Jim was speaking. I think everyone would have stayed all night listening to him.”
