CMCCU Participates in the Wings Over Whiteman Event

Tens of thousands of people from across America came to Whiteman Air Force Base to witness the "Wings Over Whiteman" air show. The air show serves as a way to let the public interact with the men and women of the U.S. military as well as get a glimpse of static displays and aerial acts.

Central Missouri Community Credit Union (CMCCU) participated in the two-day event.

“We had wonderful days at the Wings over Whiteman AFB air show (Knob Noster) on Saturday, (June 13) and Sunday, (June 14)," says Carol White, president of Central Missouri Community Credit Union. "We had several giveaways including frisbees, dog bones and hand sanitizer from the 'Bank On More' campaign.  The frisbees were definitely a popular item! We also had color changing cups and koozies that CMCCU gave away as well."

The event was quite busy, but a lot of people that stopped to talk were either members of a credit union or were talking about how they were dissatisfied with their current bank. CMCCU also promoted information about shared branching, giving out brochures to everyone to make them more aware of how they could access their credit union in places to which they move or travel.

The “Thunderbirds” amazed the audience at the end of the show, and the Golden Knights asked kids to help them repack their parachutes for their next jump.

"We truly appreciate all of our military men and women who are currently serving or that have served. We owe them much more than we can possibly pay for the freedoms that we have,” says White.
