Overdraft Protection Survey Results Are In

The Missouri Credit Union Association will have input from 20 credit unions when discussing overdraft protection issues with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

As of May 22, 20 credit unions had participated in the overdraft protection (ODP) survey. This information will be helpful in illustrating how consumers utilize ODP during Hike the Hill, as credit union leaders discuss the issue with CFPB representatives.

“Having the participation of our member credit unions in the survey is greatly appreciated,” says Amy McLard, MCUA SVP of Advocacy. “These insights are critical to the discussion with the Consumers Financial Protection Bureau and explaining how the ODP option works within Missouri’s credit unions and affects consumers.”

MCUA sent the 15-question survey to all member credit union presidents in May.*
