1st Financial FCU Supports MCUCF on Give STL Day

1st Financial Federal Credit Union (Wentzville) celebrated Give STL Day (May 5) by donating $1,000 to the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation (MCUCF) and challenging area credit unions to do the same.

“We are proud to support the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation,” says Michelle Rosner, chief lending officer for 1st Financial Federal Credit Union. “Our donation will help MCUCF continue to offer financial education programs to high school students, provide scholarships to smaller credit unions and offer support for credit union community development programs throughout the state of Missouri.”

In the spirit of Give STL Day, the Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) will match all donations made to MCUCF on May 5 (not to exceed $10,000).
Give STL Day is a 24-hour giving event, which supports local nonprofits that positively affect their community. More than 790 nonprofit organizations participated in the event.
The MCUCF is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that supports educational and charitable opportunities for credit unions and the communities they serve. Their efforts include:

  • Champions of literacy - a program which supports financial literacy efforts throughout Missouri through High School Reality Fairs.
  • Support for credit unions - provides thousands of dollars in scholarships for training credit union professionals statewide.
  • CUAid - delivers financial assistance to areas affected by natural disasters.
  • Credit Unions for Kids - raises funds and promotes Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout Missouri.

1st Financial made the $1,000 donation to the MCUCF to ensure these vital services remain available to the citizens of Missouri.
