Hike the Hill to Include CFPB Meeting – Make Your Reservations Now

Make your reservations today to join credit union staff and volunteers for Missouri Hike the Hill in Washington, D.C. on June 8-10!  The Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) is planning the event to include a legislative briefing, Hill visits with federal lawmakers and their staff, and a meeting with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

Dates:                   Monday, June 8 – Wednesday, June 10

Time:                     1 p.m. Monday – 4 p.m. Wednesday

MCUA plans to hold a legislative briefing and schedule legislative and/or regulatory agency meetings on Monday afternoon, so please arrive in Washington, D.C. by 1 p.m.   A full day of meetings is anticipated on Wednesday, so please depart later in the afternoon.  If there are difficulties making airline reservations to meet this timeline, please advise MCUA as soon as possible.


Please include your flight arrival/departure times and cell phone number to help with planning.

Hotel Reservations:

MCUA’s block of rooms is located in the Embassy Suites Washington D.C. near the Convention Center, 900 10th Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.  We have a limited number of rooms and due to the busy summer travel season, it is recommended to make reservations soon.  To take advantage of the MCUA room rate of $269/night (king, non-smoking), you must make your reservations by May 11.

MCUA will send the hotel’s reservation information and group ID once your MCUA Hike the Hill registration is complete.

Looking ahead, MCUA will schedule federal legislative visits with lawmakers in August during the recess and hold a fall Hike the Hill on October 20-22, together with the Kansas Credit Union Association.
