Bagby Named President of Northwest Missouri Regional CU

April 6 will mark Amy Bagby’s first day as president of Northwest Missouri Regional Credit Union. She will succeed Coby Lamb, who has been in the financial industry since 1971.

Since 2006, Bagby has held several positions at the credit union. She was hired as a teller, but soon was promoted to a loan officer and then vice president.

In an interview with a local newspaper, Bagby shared that she looks forward to continuing to serve credit union members and helping them improve their financial lives.

“I enjoy helping people,” she says. “We know most of our members by name and sight.”

Originally from Maryville, Bagby graduated Maryville High School and studied computer science and accounting at Northwest Missouri State University. In the 1990s, she worked for several years at the university in the treasurer and controller’s offices. She then took over as the office manager for her father’s car dealership, Bagby Motors.

Northwest Missouri Regional Credit Union was chartered in 1933 to provide basic financial services to the faculty and staff, but its membership is now open to public school faculty and staff—and their immediate family members—in 19 northwest Missouri counties. These counties include Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Platte, Ray and Wort.
