Register Now for the 2015 Annual Advocacy Meeting

The Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) welcomes credit union advocates to Jefferson City for its Annual Advocacy Meeting on February 9-10, 2015. Join credit union volunteers and leaders from across Missouri to take part in this important advocacy outreach effort to share credit union issues and concerns and demonstrate how we are making a difference in each legislator’s district. The Annual Advocacy Meeting offers the opportunity to:

  • Learn how sharing the credit union story not only helps reach your members, but helps lawmakers better understand—and care about—credit unions.
  • Hear the latest about state and federal legislative issues affecting credit unions and consumers—and how to convey that information to legislators.
  • Meet with state lawmakers one-on-one at a legislative reception and dinner just for credit unions.
  • Follow up with visits to legislators in the State Capitol.

Legislative Visits
It is recommended to reach out to lawmakers who serve the districts where your members live, to schedule appointments and let them know constituents plan to visit the State Capitol. When scheduling legislative meetings, Project Zip Code (www.pzconline.com) is an excellent resource to determine which lawmakers represent your credit union members. If you require assistance with Project Zip Code or making appointments with lawmakers, please contact MCUA Advocacy at 314.542.1343 or via email no later than January 30. MCUA will also attempt to schedule group meetings with lawmakers who have a large number of representatives at the Annual Advocacy Meeting.
