Free Coffee Earns Bank On More Camera Time

Shoppers at Taubman Prestige Outlet received a happy surprise on Black Friday—free coffee! Bank On More bought the first 150 shoppers free coffees on November 28. The benefits of this promotion were twofold; it supported a locally owned business, Nadoz, and raised awareness of credit unions.

Starting at 6 a.m., credit union volunteers handed out the Bank On More coffee sleeves to shoppers. To receive free coffees or lattes, they had to bring coffee sleeves into Nadoz.

In addition, Fox 2 News was reporting live from Taubman Prestige. Two young shoppers were interviewed and said the best thing about shopping that day was free coffee and held up the Bank On More coffee sleeve. Later, the reporter interviewed Halley Abbott, the Missouri Credit Union Association’s (MCUA) vice president of Communications.

“The Black Friday event provided a unique and memorable opportunity to raise awareness for credit unions,” says Abbott. “Partnering with local, small businesses is a great way to show that credit unions are embedded in the community."

The Bank On More team also took this time to share the credit union advantage with shoppers, with several people stopping to ask more questions. Credit union volunteers directed shoppers to the Bank On More website where they could find a credit union.

Thank you to the great volunteers from First Community Credit Union and Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union/American Eagle Credit Union.
