Electro Savings Bundles Up to Raise Money for "Old Newsboys Day"

For the past 18 years, the employees of Electro Savings Credit Union (St. Louis) have bundled up in their winter coats to collect donations for "Old Newsboys Day" in front of the credit union’s Maryland Heights location.

On Thursday, November 20, Electro Savings Credit Union employees joined thousands of volunteers who put on aprons and stand on street corners, selling newspapers to raise money for children's charities.

“Our employees love this event. We never have any trouble filling up our volunteer schedule,” says Laura Mugge, who coordinates the credit union’s Community Development activities. “Employees that aren’t able to volunteer still participate by donating to wear jeans.”
