Next TweetUp Tuesday: Targeted Content, Social Media Analytics

What does targeted content have to do with social media? Well, quite a lot as it turns out! And credit unions will be digging into this and analytics during the monthly TweetUp Tuesday gathering at 6 p.m. on October 14 at Anheuser-Busch Employees’ Credit Union, 1001 Lynch Street, St. Louis, MO 63117.

Any credit union employee may attend the event, but it’s most relevant to those who work closely with social media on behalf of their credit union. There is no cost to participate.

Attendees should be prepared to discuss targeted content—this is content that is very personalized and speaks to a specific audience, with a specific need, at a specific point in their lives. For example, let’s say you create an ad that speaks to young adults just out of college, who are looking to buy a new car. You would want to focus on how you can help them despite a lack of credit history or a large down payment. Additionally, you want to use colors and images that they can relate to—like photos of relatable, younger people.

Even if your credit union hasn’t created content like this before, you can bring in an example from one of your favorite social media accounts.

Taking that one step further, the group will also discuss the analytics for the various social media platforms and Google plugins. Attendees should bring any questions or examples of how they have used these to efficiently track the success of their content.

For detailed instructions on where to meet, please email Nora Holloway, Public Relations and Online Community director for the Missouri Credit Union Association.
