Credit Unions in Missouri Invited to NCUA's Listening Sessions

Credit unions in Missouri are invited to participate in the National Credit Union Administration's (NCUA) listening sessions this summer. The closest session to Missouri takes place in Chicago on July 10. The event is free, but advance registration is required and space is limited.

Participants of the Chicago listening session will have opportunities to dialog with Debbie Matz, chairman of the NCUA, and other NCUA Board members, senior NCUA staff, and the Regional Director and supervisory examiners from NCUA Region 3 & 4. It is anticipated that the NCUA's Risk-Based Capital (RBC) proposal will dominate discussions during the listening sessions.

"This new series of listening sessions will be an opportunity for NCUA Board members and senior staff to hear directly from credit union officials about how we can further improve regulations, the exam process, and any other NCUA initiatives,” says Matz. “My previous listening sessions led to regulatory relief and streamlined examination reports. We are looking forward to another productive series of face-to-face meetings with credit union officials and stakeholders.”

Credit union professionals may register here to attend. Other listening session locations include Los Angeles on June 26 and Alexandria, Virginia on July 17.
