Mid Missouri Celebrates 60th Anniversary
Mid Missouri Credit Union (MMCU) celebrated its 60th anniversary in January. It all began on January 28, 1954 as NFFE # 738 Credit Union, and it served members of the National Federation of Federal Employees (NFFE) # 738. They started the credit union with only $325.
The credit union grew and later changed to Federal Employee Credit Union, then Big Piney Credit Union, then Fort Leonard Wood Credit Union, and finally, Mid Missouri Credit Union in 1995. It has grown to over 200 million in assets, gaining over 90 employees that provide great service to over 26,000 member-owners.
Throughout January, employees celebrated each day with special gifts, refreshments, and prize drawings for MMCU members. They concluded the month of celebration with cake, lunch, and special guests from the local chambers of commerce, city officials and members. It was a special day for MMCU.
“We are proud to be a full service community credit union and are looking forward to serving our members during the next 60 years and beyond,” says Tracy McCord, senior vice president of MMCU Marketing.
