October 1-3: Credit Unions Will Face Banks During Hike the Hill
At the same time credit union leaders are heading to Washington, D.C. for Hike the Hill, lawmakers will hear from the Missouri Bankers Association (MBA) during the Washington visit. It’s important that federal lawmakers hear about credit unions FROM credit unions in Missouri – not misrepresentations from the bankers.
The Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) is holding Hike the Hill on Oct. 1-3, together with the Kansas Credit Union Association. So far, there are at least 25 representatives from Kansas attending Hike the Hill. The Missouri Bankers Association averages about 35 attendees during their Washington visit.
Having the participation of credit unions from all regions of Missouri is important to demonstrate our concern and focus on federal issues. Missouri attendees are needed.
To secure hotel rooms and get on the National Credit Union Administration’s schedule, reservations are recommended as soon as possible from Missouri attendees.
