REAL Solutions Credit Union Survey Focuses on Missouri: Responses Needed by July 10
Credit unions in Missouri positively impact the lives of of their members and people in their community each and every day. The Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA) is asking credit unions from across the state to participate in a 2013 Credit Union Services Inventory to track credit unions' impact.
MCUA is working together with the National Credit Union Foundation's REAL Solutions program to create an overall Missouri report that will be distributed to credit unions, lawmakers, and the public. Missouri is one of the first states to participate in this effort.
"We are asking for all of our credit unions to take part and help to highlight the many ways in which credit union membership benefits members and the broader community," says Don Cohenour, MCUA president/CEO. "It's also an opportunity to include first-person testimonials from your volunteers and members about the impact your credit union has made in their lives. Who better to speak for credit unions than the people we serve everyday?"
The survey was distributed to credit union presidents on June 24 and 25, including a link for each credit union to register answers. The survey covers several topic areas, such as financial counseling, financial education and volunteerism/community involvement. Individual credit union data will not be shared. These responses will help provide an overall picture of the credit union difference in Missouri that can be easily shared with the public and lawmakers.
Responses are needed by July 10, 2013. Please include estimates to reflect Jan. 1, 2013 through Dec. 31, 2013.
