Credit Unions Urged to Participate in "Dress Down for CMN's Hannah" Day

The St. Louis Chapter of Credit Unions is asking credit unions to take part in a dress down day on April 5 to help Hannah, a little girl battling cancer.

Hannah is the 2013 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital Ambassador representing St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Hannah has not had many opportunities to meet with members of the credit union community, as she has been working very hard to get better at St. Louis Children’s Hospital on and off for about a year and a half... and has unfortunately recently relapsed. This is her story.

Hannah is 10 years old, lives in O’Fallon, Missouri, and is one of eleven children in her family. In late 2011, Hannah was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma and immediately began chemotherapy. In March 2012, Hannah underwent a rotation plasty on her right leg, where the doctors removed a portion of the limb while the remaining limb below was rotated and reattached. She wrapped up her treatments in fall 2012, was  fitted for her prosthetic leg, and is looking forward to being a fourth grader in school.

Hannah relapsed in the past few weeks and is fighting many health issues in addition to her cancer. She is currently at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and will have an extended stay as she receives chemotherapy treatment.

"Please keep this very special little girl and her family in your thoughts and prayers," says Michelle Rosner, St. Louis Chapter of Credit Unions chapter officer.

What can you do to help?
The St. Louis Chapter of Credit Unions is hosting a “Dress Down for CMN’s Hannah” Day on Friday, April 5, 2013 to raise money for Hannah’s family. Join other credit unions and help make a difference to Hannah and her family by holding a dress down for CMN’s Hannah day on April 5th. The cost of traveling to and from the hospital is taking a financial toll on the family. Donations of gift cards or gas cards are also helpful.

For questions, please contact Michelle Rosner by email or phone at 636.916.8339.
