TelComm Celebrates the Season with Giving

During the month of December, TelComm Credit Union (Springfield) participated in multiple "people helping people" activities.  On December 1, many of the staff volunteered to participate in the Salvation Army bell ringing activity to collect money.  On December 12, credit union employees donated blood for the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. The TelComm branch in Republic "adopted” a local three-year-old boy whose mother has health issues and is unable to work.  The staff worked with an organization called "People Helping People" and coordinated donating gifts to the mother, who then was able to give them to her son for Christmas.

"Over the years TelComm employees have participated in a variety of activities to help our neighbors during the Christmas holiday season.  It was important to us to help our neighbors in ways that do not cost money such as bell ringing and donating blood- and require less than an hour out of the day volunteering but yet have a huge impact.  Many of our employees are parents and grandparents, so helping a young struggling family also pulls at our heart strings, and we enjoyed helping make sure at least one little guy had a few gifts to open Christmas morning," said Lori Johnson, VP Marketing & Business Development, TelComm Credit Union.
