Missouri’s Congresswoman-Elect Ann Wagner Talks about House Financial Services Committee
Missouri Congresswoman-Elect Ann Wagner (R-District 2) is featured in a December 19 article in Politico about serving on the U.S. House Financial Services Committee. Wagner, who was elected in November and named a Credit Union Champion by the Missouri Credit Union Association in August, will join three other Missouri House members on the committee. Congressmen William Lacy Clay (D-District 1), Emanuel Cleaver II (D-District 5) and Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-District 3) currently serve on the committee.
In the article, which interviews seven of the new Republicans joining the Financial Services Committee in 2013, Wagner notes the importance of financial services to District 2.
“It is a national and regional center for a lot of financial services activity,” she said, as she listed off the number of community banks, credit unions and people employed in the financial-services industry in St. Louis. “So the committee is very reflective of the district that I have the privilege of representing.”
