United Labor Volunteer Deploys: Donations Requested

United Labor Credit Union (ULCU) (Kansas City) volunteer Greg Davison is being deployed for another 10-month tour of duty in Afghanistan. Davison is a 23-year veteran of the United States Navy Seabees and a business representative for Sheet Metal Workers’ Local Union No. 2 in Kansas City. He is a loving husband and father and a proud new grandfather. His valued presence on the ULCU credit committee will be missed while he is away commanding construction naval support activities at forward operating bases and fleet hospital/expeditionary medical facilities during wartime.

For the next 300-plus days, ULCU will be collecting items to send to Davison and the approximate 150 troops under his command overseas. The following items are needed to complete care packages:

  • Gold Bond Powder
  • Beef Jerky
  • Chex Mix & Chips
  • Sunflower Seeds
  • Sunkist in Foil Pouches
  • Canned Nuts
  • Coffee – Instant and Ground
  • Gatorade Powder
  • Crystal Light Drink Powder
  • Hunting & Fishing Magazine
  • Tabasco Sauce!
  • Zip Lock Bags – Quart and Gallon Size
  • Spices (like crushed red pepper), salt, pepper
  • Cereal Bars/Granola Bars
  • AA Batteries
  • Canned Air (to blow dust out of electronics)
  • Q-Tips (for weapons cleaning)
  • Sewing Kit
  • Baby Wipes (LOTS!)
  • Hand Sanitizer and Lotion
  • Boot Socks
  • Underwear
  • Razors
  • Mole Skin
  • Icy Hot Patches
  • Tooth Brushes & Dental Floss
