CUlead is a program aimed at building and enhancing our credit union management staffs' leadership abilities to further the credit union and cooperative movements. With these CUlead spotlights, we're excited to shine a light on these leaders.
This week, we meet Justin Rahe, assistant vp: projects & compliance at Emporia State Federal Credit Union (Emporia, KS).
How long have you be in the credit union industry?
4 years
What drew you to credit union work? What keeps you working in the credit union field?
My first experience was as an MSR and I was drawn to the service and personal relationships formed. I have stuck around to help contribute to the positive difference CU's make on a daily basis!
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?
Ask questions with the intent to seek to learn. Gain as much knowledge as fast as you can, and remember to invest in your 5-9 as much as your 9-5.
If you could make one rule that everyone had to follow, what rule would that be?
Do good recklessly
There are two types of people in this world. What are the two types?
Those who stay in the right lane except to pass, and those who give me high blood pressure.
