In-Store Branch Manager
Mainstreet Credit Union

CUlead is a program aimed at building and enhancing our credit union management staffs' leadership abilities to further the credit union and cooperative movements. With these CUlead spotlights, we're excited to shine a light on these leaders.

This week, we meet Jeff Picazo, in-store branch manager at Mainstreet Credit Union (Lenexa, KS).

How long have you been in the credit union industry?

6 years

What drew you to credit union work? What keeps you working in the credit union field?

I always wanted to work in a bank or credit union. I never got the chance until 6 years ago. My coworkers! I cannot say anything bad about them!

What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?

Work hard, be nice to everyone, and stick with it even on hard days.

If you could make one rule that everyone had to follow, what rule would that be?

Don't be rude.

How would you describe your job to a group of five-year-olds?

Kind of like an adult Santa. I give grown ups money so that they can buy cars and other things.

There are two types of people in this world. What are the two types?

Introverts and extroverts
