CUlead is a program aimed at building and enhancing our credit union management staffs' leadership abilities to further the credit union and cooperative movements. With these CUlead spotlights, we're excited to shine a light on these leaders.
This week, we meet Chrissy Rossow, solutions analyst at Mazuma Credit Union (Overland Park, KS)
How long have you be in the credit union industry?
What drew you to credit union work? What keeps you working in the credit union field?
Fate drew me to the CU world. It was by sheer luck that I'd caught a commercial on during the morning news that I learned that my CU was hiring. After joining Mazuma I was enlightened! I am part of an organization that truly does good for people! I keep showing up every day because I know that my efforts result in the success of others.
What’s the best advice you can give to someone who just started their career?
Don't be afraid to ask if you don't know something. One of the worsts things we can do is hinder our growth by not asking questions to understand. Together we all know more than any one of us.
If you could make one rule that everyone had to follow, what rule would that be?
Live your life every day as if you were being watched on T.V.
There are two types of people in this world. What are the two types?
Mountain Vs. Beach . I'm a beach girl. I'll never understand people who prefer to vacation in the snow.
