The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has a new Food Supply Chain Guaranteed Loan Program that cooperatives – including credit unions – are eligible to participate. The program is designed to increase access to capital to build a stronger, more resilient and secure food supply chain in the United States.

This program includes $1.4 billion in loan guarantees to commercial lenders. Eligible uses of funds include but are not limited to startup or expanding activities related to aggregating, processing, manufacturing, storing, transporting or distributing food. View more information on how to apply. They are accepting applications now until all funds are expended.
