DATC follow-up and gearing up for GAC

Thanks to everyone who participated in our virtual HCUA’s Day at the Capitol (DATC). All registered attendees received a follow-up message with specific tasks last week from the HCUA Advocacy team, and the recordings are available for a few weeks.

If someone at your credit union didn’t get to register in advance of DATC there is still time to take part and take action. They just need to register and watch the recordings at heartlandcua.org/datc.

Our national advocacy event, the Governmental Affairs Conference, is also virtual this year. If you register for the GAC by Feb. 19, you will get a notice for all HCUA GAC events. The first round of notices is coming this week.

In the meantime, our HCUA GAC page outlines all of the key dates to mark on your calendar.  

Please note the legislative briefing on Feb. 24 from 10-11:30 a.m. If you plan to take part in legislative visits with lawmakers you will need to attend this briefing (registration instructions coming soon. This is separate from the GAC registration).

Those who register and attend this briefing will have the opportunity to attend legislative meetings specific to their credit union’s area of service. We are working to hold most lawmaker meetings on Feb. 25, March 1, and March 4 – but it looks like a few may be scheduled the following week based on feedback from lawmakers.
