MCUA Welcomes New Marketing Hires

At the Missouri Credit Union Association (MCUA), we pride ourselves on hiring the best and brightest to provide member credit unions with outstanding support and service. That’s why we’re excited to announce the addition of two new employees, Brianna O’Hara and Nora Holloway, to our marketing team.

Brianna will be stepping into the role of marketing director. She comes to us with a solid professional background in that area. Her skills and expertise include project management, advertising, marketing communications, time management, email marketing, direct mail campaigns and Google Analytics. Prior to MCUA, she worked for Imagery Marketing Group, a St. Louis-based, full-service, advertising firm. She wore a number of hats there, including media coordinator, project manager and account manager.

Brianna is no stranger to credit unions. If she looks familiar, it’s because once upon a time she was the marketing assistant for St. Louis Community Credit Union.

“It’s exciting to get back into such an enthusiastic industry,” says O'Hara. “Everyone has been so welcoming, it really makes this feel like home.”

O'Hara received her bachelor’s in Marketing from Missouri State University in 2007, and later graduated with a master’s in marketing from Webster University in 2012.

She will be keeping member credit unions informed of all the services offered through MCUA, including Shared Branching, iVia, accounting and professional development to name a few. Additionally, Brianna will help support the statewide awareness campaign, Bank On MOre.

To ensure we stay current in social media trends, MCUA hired Nora Holloway as our public relations and online community director. She has a unique blend of skills, including social media strategy, content creation, blogging, copywriting, SEO optimization and email advertising.

“I’ve always been a huge fan of credit unions—beginning with my very first checking account,” says Holloway. “It’s refreshing to be part of a community-oriented organization. I’m looking forward to meeting all the MCUA members and working with them to achieve strong digital presences.”

Holloway worked as a social media specialist for Cat5 Commerce, an ecommerce company that owns several niche online stores. While there, she wrote copy for web pages, press releases, emails, blogs and link bait. She handled a number of external viral content projects and executed their promotion as well. 

Before her time at Cat5, she was chasing down stories as a staff reporter for The Lincoln County Journal. She interviewed local politicians, covered city and school board meetings, took photos at local events and reported on breaking news. She also wrote a music column in an entertainment publication, The Little Dixie Weekender.

In 2007, she graduated from Lindenwood University with a bachelor’s in Corporate Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations.

Nora will handle the MCUA Facebook and Twitter accounts, and she will be happy to answer any social media questions you might have. She will also be your primary contact for any good news stories—she will be sharing these through the MCUA website, social media platforms and media outlets.
