Five Major Emerging HR Trends
2019 is witnessing business transformations along with major technological, sociocultural,
and economic changes that present multiple challenges for HR professionals. To overcome such challenges, organizations must ensure their employees have the skills and expertise needed. Past HR strategies have become outdated as the workforce is expecting more from the human resource department as they are struggling to retain employees and boost workplace culture.
In this sessions, we will discuss the five emerging HR trends that will affect human resources.
• Tight Labor Market
• Soft Skills Gap
• Training and Career Development
• Artificial Intelligence
• Leveling the playing field for women and minorities

Understanding and appreciating different generations is critical for effective organizations. Currently organizations are interacting and dealing with five different generations from Traditionalists (Veterans) to Generation Z. Each generation has varying experiences and perspectives that can clash. At the end of this session, you will understand each generations’ views, values and what motivates them, which can lead to better communication and collaboration.

Hike the Hill is your chance to make a difference!

Join us as we share credit union issues and concerns with federal lawmakers during HCUA's Hike the Hill. To do this effectively, we need at least one representative from all 12 Congressional districts in Kansas and Missouri.

Count on a legislative briefing, Hill visits, and a trip to the NCUA to attend a board meeting. We are working to schedule individual meetings with NCUA Board members as well. We will coordinate group meals for credit union staff and volunteer attendees, and prepare you for topics and talking points prior to the meetings.

Agenda (watch for additional details as Hike the Hill gets closer)

Tuesday, October 22
Legislative Briefing and Group Dinner

Wednesday, October 23
Capitol Hill Visits

Thursday, October 24
NCUA Board Meeting and Hill Visits

Note
Please do not plan to depart for the airport until the afternoon of October 24, if possible, so you can attend the NCUA Board Meeting and additional meetings with board members.
