HCUA Connect peer groups

Join one of our peer groups to ask questions, learn new ideas and share resources. Formerly called Councils, we have moved to a new platform and rebranded as Communities.

Communities are FREE - accessible to all employees or volunteers of affiliated Kansas, Missouri or Nebraska credit unions or their CUSOs. Access to Communities requires an account on the HCUA website. If you are requesting an HCUA account for the first time, please allow 24-48 hours for our Communities platform to sync with our database.

Accessing Communities

Access our HCUA Connect platform to see all of the Communities available. This is a single sign on process that will use your same HCUA username and password.

Benefits of HCUA Connect peer groups

  • Networking: Share ideas and learn from your peers through exclusive online communities (accessed via email or online platform), calls and education opportunities.
  • Resources: Access information and updates specific to credit unions.
  • Education: Learn through peer resources, webinars and other opportunities.
  • Leadership: Each HCUA Community is run by credit union leaders. In addition, each community is assigned an HCUA staff person to serve as a HCUA Community liaison to support the community.

Community leadership

Each Community is led by leadership committee members whose duties include:

  • Programming and content creation for Community events
  • Community leadership development
  • Communication to members, HCUA/NCUL boards and HCUA/NCUL liaisons
  • Act as a facilitator at meetings, make introductions at training sessions
  • Promote membership

Here a breakdown of leadership expectations, including specific examples.

Please contact your Community's HCUA liaison. Elections are held in November. New directors begin serving their terms January 1. In the event of a vacancy, the leadership committee will appoint a current committee member to serve the remainder of the term.
