If it were a country, Facebook would be the largest in the world, with more members than India, China, and the United States. With billions of registered users and company pages sharing updates, images, video, and status updates, it’s by far the most popular social network on the planet. However, for any business, including financial institutions, Facebook continues to change the “rules,” which causes challenges with ensuring the information posted is seen by your fans to help support your networking, branding, and communication efforts.

Since Facebook makes the rules regarding the use of their social network, page managers must be aware of shifts in Facebook’s processes and policies to ensure that your information has the best likelihood of being relevant and seen by your fans and people in your market area.  This webinar will review what’s new on Facebook, ways to put these changes to work, and advanced strategies to ensure that you’re reaching the right people.  It will review actual tactics for implementation and success as well as ways to measure the success and work towards demonstrating tangible ROI.

  • Recent Facebook changes and what they mean to your institution
  • Applications Facebook offers to engage both “as the business” and on an individual level
  • Benefits of developing an employee engagement strategy to enlist your employees as a “social sales force” to help gain expanded reach and exposure
  • Advertising and boosting strategies to break through the organic visibility limitations and how to select a focused target market for your message
  • The new call-to-action button and other functional changes to help create engagement and interactivity with your fans
  • Measuring the effectiveness of your Facebook efforts using a combination of their own Insights analytics service and Google Analytics on your website

  • Printable resource guide to help with your Facebook strategies, including helpful infographics and strategy suggestions
  • Employee training log
  • Quiz you can administer to measure staff learning and a separate answer key

Attendance verification for CE credits provided upon request.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER – Eric C. Cook, WSI Internet Consulting

During a successful 15-year banking career, Eric Cook was the “driving force” behind many of his bank’s strategic technology initiatives, taking his community bank online in 1995 as one of the first “hometown” banks in the nation with a presence on the web. He brought customers real-time online banking capability and a variety of other online conveniences.  Starting as a teller, when Eric left banking in 2007, he was regional president for a Michigan-based, publicly-traded community bank.

Today Eric owns his own Internet consulting practice, focused on helping community financial institutions better understand and leverage the Internet’s power as a strategic business tool.  His hands-on experience is combined with state-of-the-art Internet solutions to help clients achieve success online through creative web development, online marketing, and social media strategies.  Eric serves financial consumers nationwide and is a sought-after speaker for social technology and online business topics.
