Missouri credit unions meet with Congresswoman Bush

Published 5.1.21

Credit union advocates from across Missouri’s Congressional District 1 met with freshman U.S. Representative Cori Bush (D-MO District 1) virtually on April 27.  We had a good discussion about credit union pandemic relief efforts, Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans helping members in District 1, the impact of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) and the need for continued funding, as well as ongoing issues like data security and the credit union difference.

Thank you to Arsenal Credit Union, Electro Savings Credit Union, First Community Credit Union, Together Credit Union, St. Louis Community Credit Union and Vantage Credit Union for participating. This meeting completes our GAC Hill visits, including all 16 members of the Kansas and Missouri delegations.  We are working ahead towards in-district meetings in August and a Hike the Hill in Washington, D.C. on October 26-28.
