Renée Sattiewhite is the president and CEO of the African-American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) and is responsible for the execution of the strategic vision of the board of directors.  With over 30 years in the world of finance, she started her career as a teller trainee for City National Bank in Beverly Hills, California. She quickly moved up the ranks with various positions including bank officer. She has been associated with credit unions for more than 25 years and was the first internship program director for the AACUC. 

Renee’s background is in training and marketing, specializing in customer service, effective communication, board development, team building and strategic planning. Renée is a graduate of Oglethorpe University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.

Renée is a certified diversity professional, a credit union development educator, motivational speaker, an executive coach, mentoring trainer and assists organizations with marketing campaigns.  


Angela Russell is the vice president of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the vice president of the CUNA Mutual Foundation. Angela is responsible for leading the development, direction and implementation of short and long-term strategies and programs that support Diversity & Inclusion and overseeing CUNA Mutual’s Corporate Social Responsibility program. 

In 2018, Angela was named as one of the nation’s most powerful diversity executives by Black Enterprise magazine. She has nearly 20 years of professional experience involving diversity and inclusion, external relations and outreach, communications, policy development, and research and evaluation.

Angela holds a Master of Science in Population Health from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Beloit College.


Erin Coleman, Filene's Senior Director of Advisory Services, helps credit unions create and execute on actionable strategies that will help solve their challenges and achieve their goals. With more than two decades experience in the credit union industry, Erin is a spirited credit union advocate who places deep value on learning, honesty, and integrity.

Erin graduated from Eckerd College Honors program with a dual BA degree in Cultural Anthropology and International Studies. 

In her free time you can find Erin taking in the sunrise along Tampa Bay with her dog Tembo, paddle boarding, dreaming of her next big international travel adventure, or figuring out how to spend more time celebrating friends and family.


Victor Corro is a senior executive with more than 25 years of experience working in international and cross-cultural environments in the private and non-profit sectors. He has developed and nurtured relationships within the global financial cooperative industry through his work with World Council of Credit Unions. 

Most recently Victor has been at the helm of Coopera Consulting, a marketing and analytics consulting firm that engages organizations and prepares them to serve underserved markets. Coopera’s core clients are within retail finance space, namely credit unions. He is co-founder and first chair of the Credit Union DEI Collective, an expanding group within the credit union movement and devoted to furthering DEI, a shared cooperative principle

Victor is a first generation immigrant to the US and was born and raised in Panama. He came to study at the University of Wisconsin as a Fulbright Scholar. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Latin American Studies.


Cathie Mahon has led Inclusiv as the president/CEO since 2012, overseeing a period of dramatic growth and expansion of the organization and network. Inclusiv is a certified CDFI and national network of community development credit unions with a mission of promoting financial inclusion and building more inclusive economies through community owned and controlled financial institutions.  

Cathie had previously served as Deputy Commissioner at the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs where she started and led New York City’s Office of Financial Empowerment (OFE), the first local government initiative with a mission aimed expressly at helping to educate, empower and protect low income residents to make the most of their financial resources. She co-founded the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund and remains an active board member. She was the founding coordinator of the Asset Funders Network and served as a lead researcher for the Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program. She serves on the Board of Trustees at the New York Foundation, on the board of the national CDFI Coalition and the Center for NYC Neighborhoods, and the FinTech Advisory Committee for the New York Federal Reserve Bank. 

Cathie earned a bachelor's degree from Duke University in Durham, NC and a Master’s of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
